From trade show reflection to new season projection!

Top Drawer 2016

Wowzer. It’s certainly been a busy few weeks for team OE. Last week we exhibited at the Top Drawer trade show at Kensington Olympia and it was one of our most enjoyable trade shows to date!

Apart from being surrounded by some great people (new friends!) we were really chuffed with our stand build. Ok, at times it seemed like a comedy sketch with a few ‘to me, to you’ moments as we battled with the spirit level and OSB boards which formed the shelving for our cards, prints and notebooks. But it all came together and we were really happy with the outcome.

Stand Styling

Rather than our usual charcoal grey walls, this time we went wild and changed. We opted for the muted grey walls, which really made the shelves pop and stand out. We also had a pretty sweet position, we managed to bag ourselves the stand facing the main walkway so it meant when we went to get the coffees in, we could spot our stand and find our way back safely to camp. Minus the distractions along the way (shiny things!)

Curious to see what our stand looked like? Sure. You can watch a short video below of the stand build to completion.

Best Sellers

So, what were our best sellers? This time round we were in the stationery section rather than home and gift, so aptly we took our brand new range of cards, notebooks, prints and some coasters, mugs, enamel pins and make-up pouches thrown in for good measure.

Our notebooks were a crowd pleaser too. The A5 ones were the overall winners. Perhaps it’s the motivational slogans against the kraft which makes them a delight for scribbling down those important lists.

Our Marble range products did pretty well too, Yasss. We're pleased about that because we're marbles about marble. The marble coasters being the overall winner at Top Drawer. Because who wouldn’t want a marble effect coaster?

Autumn Alert...including cake!

Since being back in the studio, as well as sending out the orders placed at the trade show, we’ve all been thinking about our new products for the seasons ahead.

As the nights get darker earlier it’s pretty much time. Time to don those cashmere socks, sip copious amounts of tea/hot choccie and snuggle up with a duvet. We love autumn!

Some might say that our mugs make the perfect vehicle for a hot beverage. They will remind you of how awesome you are whilst you drink your cuppa. And our pillow cases and cushion covers will help make your home look oh so stylishly-cosy.

Have a gander below and also whilst you’re at it, have your cake and eat it. Here’s a delicious recipe for pumpkin cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting. OMG. Literally smells like autumn. You’re welcome.
