Tradeshow Season 2018

Tradeshows Season 2018!

After a busy few months of tradeshows, we are so excited to give you all the deets about the shows we’ve done this year. With SO many new launches and exciting new stockists, we have loved this tradeshow season.

Pulse 2018

It all started with Pulse, which we attended in London back in May. This show is very design led and we always enjoy seeing everyone’s new launches and catching up with a few familiar faces, and of course, getting to know new people!

This year’s Pulse show was particularly exciting as it saw the launch of our brand new 12 strong ‘Block Out’ card collection and 30 new additions to the small card collection with new foils, colours, and quotes. Also, add in a sprinkle of new enamel pins to the mix and we were ready!

We are very happy to say that the new cards flew off the shelves, we had lots of people giving us great feedback and comments about the two new collections. All in all, the show was a huge success and we’d love to thank anyone and everyone who stopped by!

Pulse down, next on the agenda was National Stationery Show over in the Big Apple!

National Stationery Show

This was our 2nd time exhibiting at National Stationery Show (NSS). After a couple of hours getting the final touches to the stand, it was a quick dash to the Javits Centre to set up then, of course, coffee, pizzaManhattan cocktail and then some much-needed beauty sleep (in that order, of course!)

There was such a buzz around the show (and no, it wasn’t coffee related!). It was great to meet up with so many new and inspiring brands and people. We love seeing what the American market has to offertheir different styles, trends, and ideas. It’s safe to say, we came back to the UK with lots of exciting new ideas…

Speaking of design ideas, you may have seen our new ‘Pretzel’ and ‘New York Apple’ enamel pin designs, these were very popular at the show.

Two shows down, one to go!

Top Drawer

Last but by no means least it was Top Drawer in London. Top Drawer is one of our fave shows to do, it comes around twice a year and both shows bring with them a whole host of newness in products, stand designs and also new faces! This show was the Autumn Winter show and we had some amazing new greeting cards and notebook goodies on display.

The collection which had the most attention was our brand-new collaboration with illustrator Alja Horvat. Her quirky but super fun greeting card and notebook designs flew off the shelves and caught the eye of everyone who walked by the stand. We also launched our Bold Type card collection at the show, these added another splash of colour to our card wall and were a big hit with some of our new and existing stockists.

Top Drawer was a great show for us and it was so nice to catch up with some familiar faces and also listen to a few of the talks taking place over in ReatilFest (Fortunately, our stand was right next door to where all the talks were taking place#winning!).

Wholesale tradeshow wise, that’s us over and out for another yearHowever, we do have Stylist Live coming up in November for all our customers. Be sure to get your tickets and head straight to the Old English Company stand, this show is the perfect place to make a start on the Christmas shopping, eek!

We've loved exhibiting at the shows this year and showcasing all of our newness. We are already planning some very exciting things in time for a new year of wholesale tradeshows to begin, yay!

Love Team OE x
