A Summer Of Trade Shows!

A Summer Of Trade Shows!

We LOVE Trade Shows!

It’s been a whirlwind few months for Old English Co, where we’ve exhibited at three amazing trade shows. We’ve enjoyed every second and we’ve met up with some wonderful people along the way.

The summer of shows began in May, kicking off with Pulse in London, followed by the National Stationery Show (NSS) in New York. We returned to the UK to fulfil all the orders and prepare for our first appearance at Harrogate Home and Gift in July. Now, we are preparing for Top Drawer London as we speak! The grand finale of shows this year before we start the trade show rush again in early 2018.

Pulse:

Pulse is one of our favourite shows and this year we got to catch up with some of our fab existing stockists. We designed lots of new stuff ready for our back to back trade show tour from London to NYC…our new collections went down well at Pulse and across the pond which we were so pleased about!

A couple of the best sellers were our new Green Foliage collection and our children’s birthday cards, the Marching Animal Band collection. Pulse is a show that allows us to be able to show off some of our best and most design led work so here we introduced all of our latest launches.

We loved exhibiting at Pulse and we can’t wait to see you all there next year!

NSS:

The following day after Pulse, we flew some 3,470 miles away to pitch our stand at National Stationery Show, NYC! This was such an amazing show for us as it was the first time Old English Co. had touched down in America. The show itself was a huge success and we have some really great new stockists on board with us from the likes of Sugar Paper, The Merchant and Urbanic… to name a few of our lovely American stockists.

As this was the first time our products had been showcased in America, some of our all-time classics were very popular for example our, Buy Me Pizza Kraft card and She Believed She Could card flew off the shelves!  We did take some of our latest collections with us too and they were also very popular, especially all things gold foiled, such as the Girl Gang card and our brand new Ombre collection.

It was incredible to have a look at the overseas market and their design trends. As always, we met some really inspiring brands and we came away with a huge boost of creativity for new ideas and designs, as well as a little pat on the back knowing our cards were a hit over in the US. We can officially say we fell in love with the big apple….and their bagels, and pizza, and doughnuts!

The National Stationery Show was such an incredible experience for Old English Co and we can’t wait to be back there showcasing some more of our products in the future.

Harrogate Home and Gift:

It was the first time we exhibited at Harrogate Home and Gift. Harrogate is such a beautiful town and trade show aside, we even managed to visit the famous Betty’s Tea Room, the best cakes we’ve ever seen!

The show itself was a great success, with our Small Card collection taking 1st place with popularity with our new and existing stockists placing plenty of orders.

Top Drawer:

Finally, and a little bit closer to home, we are making the final preparations ahead of Top Drawer A/W’17! We love exhibiting at Top Drawer and this year we are pulling out all the stops, we have the biggest stand we have ever had and we are launching a whole host of newness. From notebooks and cards to keyrings and notecards.

If you are lucky enough to be attending please stop by stand ZB15, we can’t wait to see you there!

The 10th of September can’t come soon enough, Top Drawer here we come!
